The material selection of the new home of the Pennsylvania Academy of Music was the cue to develop an environmental graphic design that emphasizes tactile experience while maintaining crisp visual communication. Cherry veneered aircraft-grade plywood is laser-etched with all identifications and then supplemented with a stainless steel band for tactile and Braille text. The project also includes a donor recognition wall that uses a expandable organization logic that will allow the graphic to grow as contributions continue being made to the Academy.
