Thumb developed an event announcement and program for the Buckminster Fuller Symposium, held in association with the exhibition Buckminster Fuller: Starting With the Universe at the Museum. The poster transposes an iconic Bucky Fuller image using a variety of triangulated patterns. Since were able to pull a lot of variety out of one color ink we printed the poster in two lots, one in orange, and one in blue.
The event program acts as both a document of the proceedings and as a place for note-taking for the attendee. With the Whitney, we developed a program that could be read as an interleaved pamphlet, but could also be taken apart to be used as a series of posters featuring works from and about Buckminster Fuller.
